Pay and Play is a scheme for effective utilization of the sports infrastructure and play fields available in the state. Where, the minimum amount of Fee is collected from the enrolled candidates to attract attention and concentration towards the game/sport he/she practice/play. The revenue so generated will be used towards providing proper play facilities, utilization and maintenance of play field and the stadium

Pay and Play is segregated as Sporting and Non-Sporting activity, where the premises / stadium will be given on hire basis for a day or two or required number of days, if and only the dates does not disturb the regular sporting activities / Tournaments in the stadium.

How Does It Work

If you wish to train for professional sports, you make a payment at the respective stadium. The fees are structured according to the sport and facility used. These fees go into a separate fund under the Pay & Play Scheme which will be utilized only for the maintenance of infrastructure and purchase of sports equipment.

This scheme is applicable almost all the sports of the Olympic games along with a few Non-Olympic disciplines such as Cricket, Roller Skating etc.

Purpose of the Scheme

Apart from improving and maintaining sports facilities, the Pay & Play Scheme helps to distinguish the sincerity and seriousness of players who wish enter professional sports. Only those who are serious will continue to pay and practice.

The fee pattern and allotment charges of Stadia in Twin Cities and District under Pay & Play Scheme are fixed as per G.O.Ms.No.20, Dt: 09.02.2012, YAT&C(S) Dept., GoAP.
